Dr Tommaso Milani

I am a historian of Modern Europe. I earned my PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in late 2017. My first monograph, on Hendrik de Man and the transformation of interwar social democracy, has been published in 2020. My research interests include the transnational history of socialism during the Twentieth Century and different models of economic planning in Europe and the United States. I taught at Balliol College, University of Oxford, as a college lecturer and at the LSE as a teaching associate before moving to the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) in 2019. Currently, I am a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI).
